Growing up fast…too fast!

Monday, May 18th, 2009

I can’t believe it’s been three months already! Our little girl is getting bigger and changing more and more every day! She’s rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back like a champ. In fact, I’m fully expecting her to end up under the couch before I even know what’s happening. She pretty much refuses to lay flat on her back now. She prefers to be on her side or on her tummy unless she’s in her swing.

Here she is looking adorable…and being somewhat cooperative by letting me get a few cute pictures!

Fine Feathered Friends

Rick has put up several bird feeders in our backyard and suddenly it’s THE place to be! We’re getting all kinds of birds…most of which Rick has been able to identify through the kitchen window with a pair of binoculars and a National Audubon Society Bird Book. Of course, the cats absolutely love the almost constant bird show. I think they are slowly being driven insane by it.

Rick went out with the camera the other day and got some pictures of quite a few of them around the feeder and in the trees. This is just a sampling of the types of birds we have stopping by!

Rockasaurus

For those of you who don’t know, Vaughan is completely obsessed with dinosaurs right now. He loves learning their names and making big roaring noises when you ask him what dinosaurs say. He’s seen all the Jurassic Park movies and can’t get enough of them! So, when we were at the store yesterday and I saw this “Rockasaurus” shirt, I knew it would be a hit. When I asked him if he’d like to get dressed this morning, he said, “Oh! Rockasaurus shirt!” We also got the sunglasses yesterday and he thought they go really nicely with the shirt. Funny kid!

Sand, sidewalk chalk, dirty faces, creepy-crawlies, not-so-bare trees and a snooze in the shade!
