I love it when Vaughan reads to his sister! Of course, the biggest challenge he faces (aside from not actually knowing how to read) is keeping Rheya from chewing on the books.

Here’s Rheya looking adorable in her matching hat and sweater!

She’s doing so much! She’s pulling up and standing by herself for a few seconds (when she’s too busy concentrating on something else to notice that she’s not holding on to anything). She’s doing lots of imitating which is an absolute hoot! She learned how to blow raspberries, so she’ll do that for long periods of time…until she’s totally covered in drool and spit. She has been showing some interest in table foods and loves milk. Oh, and her favorite thing to do these days is wrestle with Vaughan!

I finally got around to taking pictures of Vaughan for his third birthday. I have done something similar for each birthday so far and I think I’ll try to keep it up for both kids as long as they’ll let me. :)

Can you believe it? He’s three already! Vaughan is really growing up and becoming more and more like a little boy…he’s just not that little toddler anymore! We had a party at a local pizza place and we asked all of our party guests to bring donations for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter rather than gifts for the birthday boy. It was great fun and the folks at the shelter were very happy to have the donations. Here are a few pictures from the party and our trip to the shelter to drop of the donations.

We did a “paw print” theme since we were giving gifts to the dogs and cats at the shelter.

We have decided to make new Christmas pajamas a tradition for the kids. Each year, on the day we decorate the Christmas tree, the kids will each get a new pair of Christmas-themed jammies. So, this was the first year and we posed the kids in front of the tree!

Later that night, Rheya fell asleep on Rick’s lap…

We had some family pictures taken recently and here are some of the results. It was freezing outside, so we did it pretty quickly!

I got the kids dressed in their Christmas outfits yesterday and took them out in the backyard to get a few pictures. I knitted Rheya’s sweater to match the dress I bought for her at Carter’s.

After a snowstorm and 18 inches of snow, we can have a day like today. Almost 70 degrees and beautiful blue skies! I took the kids to the park to let Vaughan run out some of his excess energy and I got a few cute pictures. Enjoy!

Here’s the way I see it…Halloween is just one big photo opportunity and we took full advantage today! Are you ready for the cuteness?

There they are. Vaughan the Dinosaur and Rheya the Halloween Princess! We did just a little bit of trick-or-treating and then spent the rest of the evening handing out candy at our house.
